SLEEPING IN HEAVEN BUT LIVING IN OUR HEARTS...
THE SACRED TREE OF LIFE REPRESENTS THE GATEWAY BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH. WE MUST RESPECT ALL TREES.
IT IS A POWERFUL SYMBOL OF OUR LINK TO NATURE AND BEYOND.
Dear God,
As an elephant's trunk hangs limply to the ground,
You find me here today, grief stricken.
If I could gather with the others,
With branches and Earth to bury our friends,
If we could stand vigil all night long,
perhaps this loss of ours, shouldered by many would be bearable.
I was not (nor will we ever be) ready for our friends to die!
Hold us and keep us God..
These deaths, once unthinkable, is now the only thing we think about.
Give us those who understand maybe then we could go to the places we used to occupy.
The world is so heavy upon us now,
Give us shoulders like an elephant to carry this sadness.
Be with us, O Comforting One,
Comfort us as we cry & lumber through our days.
My whole body feels sad!
Oh God of light & night, my muscles are so tight.
My eyes fill with constant tears, my head hurts with constant sadness.
My heart sinks into itself with heaviness, as it tears apart with grief!
God, please send your healing breath upon us,
Breathe into my muscles, wipe away my tears as you cradle my head.
Bring us into your immense heart.
God of healing, help us with our sadness.
God of night, tell me that someday..we'll be alright.
Many thanks to you Carol Adams for your kind heart, patience and heartfelt prayers for our loved ones.
Remember, the bunnies you cared for had the best of a very happy life whilst with you, they were family.
I've always been patient & contented so long as my animals were always present, physically or spiritually
God bless us for all that we've done & still do for them. Go your path in peace and happiness my sister.

Translation:
"I still dream every night
Of them wolves, them mustangs, those endless prairies
The restless winds over mountaintops
The unspoilt frontier of my kith n`kin
The hallowed land of the Great Spirit
I still believe
In every night
In every day
I am like the caribou
And you like the wolves that make me stronger
We never owed you anything
Our only debt is one life for our Mother
It was a good day to chant this song
For Her
Our spirit was here long before you
Long before us
And long will it be after your pride brings you to your end"
